HIPS - Scrapped in England and Wales

As of the 21st May 2010 the coallition government suspended Home Information packs in England and Wales. This means that properties added to the market after this date will no longer require a home information pack. However the energy performance certificate (EPC) will still be necessary. This represents a significant change for vendors who will now only require an EPC to put their home on the market

It is imperative that any house advertised on ubtheagent.co.uk be provided with a energy performance certificate (EPC). Any property being marketed without a EPC is liable for a fine from local authority enforcement officers. These are reported to be in the region of £200 per property per day.

Need an EPC?
